Welcome to my efolio!  My name is May Vang.  I am a 2008 University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN alumna.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Math with a minor in Psychology.  I received my teaching license for the state of Minnesota in 5-12 mathematics.

In this efolio, you can find the Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice and artifacts that show proof of having met these standards.  I also have links to the schools I have worked in and descriptions of my experiences.

Becoming a teacher has always been part of my career goals.  My parents never discouraged me, but they told me to keep my options open.  I kept it open, and yet, I found myself coming back to education every time I had to picture myself in a profession.  I also knew right away that I would want to teach math.  It was natural for me to gravitate toward math because I always found myself tutoring and helping classmates with math.  Having had great math teachers all throughout my K-12 education, I hope to someday be half as great as they are.

Other aspirations I have are to teach English overseas, obtain a second license in K-12 English as a Second Language (ESL), and pursue a masters degree in education.
